A Brooklyn man enraged that his ex-girlfriend wouldn’t let him see their infant daughter kidnapped the child at gunpoint Tuesday, police said.Shawn Fariera, 20, and a friend busted into Melissa Fyffe’s Weeksville apartment about 5:40 p.m., saying they had some clothes for 3-month-old Shamiece, cops and witnesses said.
“He bum-rushed the door,” said Fyffe, 21, who has a protective order against Fariera. “He grabbed her off my mother’s bed. While he had her in his arms, he pulled a small black gun out of his back pocket and put it to my face.”
Fariera’s friend grabbed some baby blankets from the bed, and the duo escaped through a back door in the building, Fyffe said.

Missing: Billie McGee

*Editor’s Note: I hope that we find this beautiful young sister. Of course, regular news media won’t work hard in making her top priority in the news. What kills me most is, as usual, black women aren’t allowed to be victims. In reading several articles related to Miss McGee’s disappearance, many people are saying that she most likely ‘ran away,’ which her family vehemently denies. Why is it that we aren’t victimized? Why do we have to have ‘problems’ that can’t be worked out at home? There are several of us who are taken against our will and even KILLED! We’re not all misfits! Here’s to hoping for her safe return!

Family members passed out flyers and posted them on bus stop Tuesday hoping someone would come forward with information about the whereabouts of 12-year-old Billie McGee, a San Francisco girl who hasn’t been seen since leaving for school.
McGee hasn’t been seen since she left home Monday morning to catch a bus on Geneva Ave. to head off to school.
The seventh grader is described as being 5-5, 140 pounds. She was believed to be wearing a black and white jacket and black shoes.
McGee’s aunt, Theaster McGee, got on board buses as they arrived at the stop on Tuesday, showing riders and drivers Billie’s picture and asking if they had seen her.
“We want to know if she even got on a bus,” Theaster McGee said. “If she did, she might have gotten off somewhere else.”
Billie’s other aunt, Debron Broughton, pleaded for the girl’s return.
“Just come home Billie,” she told KTVU. “If you have her, please give her back. Please give her back.”
Her mother, Tina Brown, works overnight and did not arrive home in time to get her to school.
“Her school starts at 8 a.m.,” Brown said. “When I knew I was gong to be late (I talked and) asked her if she could take the bus. She said ‘Sure, Mommy I’ll catch the bus’…That’s the last time I talked with her.”
Brown called the girl’s school at 8:30 a.m. and was told her daughter had not arrived.
“I drove around,” a tearful Brown told KTVU. “I followed the bus route…I went to the school…I just drove… I drove everywhere looking for my child.”
McGee’s classmates Tuesday wrote cards and created signs asking her to return. Counselors were at the school as well as police officers.

Abused/Murdered: Raijon Moses

Teresa Moses, Child Abuser/Murderer…ANOTHER great reason for mandatory hysterectomies
*Editor’s Note: I really feel bad for children like Raijon Moses. It’s really sad when the system fails someone like him…someone so young, SO innocent. Social workers saw the signs, they had questions but still chose to do nothing. It’s horrible. I’m wondering how some of these parents sleep at night…I wonder if any of the social workers who neglect their duties to protect and serve the children are parents. If they are, I wonder how THEY sleep at night, knowing that they FAILED at what they went to school for…that a child died due to their lack of willingness to do their job. Things like this shouldn’t happen but unfortunately, they’re becoming more common place than not. What can we do to make sure that situations like Raijon’s don’t happen nearly as often, IF at all? My heart goes out to him…may God bless his soul.

When Richmond police Officer Timothy Gard arrived at an apartment in the Monterey Pines complex in Richmond last October he was struck by an overpowering odor of Pine-Sol.“So much so that it irritated your nose,” Gard said during a preliminary hearing in Contra Costa County Superior Court in Richmond on Thursday.
A young boy was unconscious on the floor as paramedics worked to revive him, Gard said.
The boy was 8-year-old Raijon Daniels. His mother, Teresa Moses, 23, was charged with torture and child abuse following his death.
Moses “was calm watching the paramedics, not crying – appeared pretty together,” Gard said.
Moses told Gard she had been cleaning the apartment when, looking at a monitor hooked up inside Raijon’s bedroom, she saw his head roll back, the officer said.
She went into his room and tried to wake him up but couldn’t, she allegedly told Gard. She carried him into the bathroom and started CPR and the boy started vomiting, Gard said.
Moses then called for an ambulance and then called 911.
Raijon frequently wet the bed and urinated around the room, Moses told Gard. She said she used the Pine-Sol to drown out the smell of urine. Moses allegedly told Gard that Raijon could have drank the Pine-Sol.
When Gard asked Moses why Raijon would have done that she allegedly said because he was “destructive.” She told Gard that Raijon had violent outbursts because his stepfather molested him.
He once jumped out a second story window, she allegedly told Gard. Gard took Moses to the Richmond Police Department while paramedics continued to try to save Raijon. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Social Injustice: Alton Logan

*Editor’s Note: THIS is the type of stuff I’m talking about. There are SEVERAL cases like this that are in the court system as we speak…and no one is doing anything about them. While I DO understand lawyer/client confidentiality, what bothers me most is that there are NO clauses in this agreement that would free innocent people should they be wrongfully accused. Mr. Alton Logan has spent 26 years of his freakin’ LIFE behind bars..and the only thing that can be said is “sorry.” This makes me absolutely angry…I’m talking SEETHING with emotion right now. I can NOT believe that this man has been deprived of any level of normalcy until NOW…no chance to get a real education, no chances with family, nothing. They had a CONFESSION with PROOF, people..and still, Mr. Logan is sitting behind bars and has been for a little over a quarter of a century. And if you all read the article from top to bottom, you will find that even with the sworn testimony from the KILLER’S attorney AND the affidavit, that still does NOT guarantee Logan’s freedom! WOW! If you don’t get TICKED OFF in reading THIS, then you clearly lack emotion! This is truly an unjust case and to Mr. Alton Logan, my apologies on behalf of the rest of the screwed up legal system. I sincerely hope that you can gain freedom, get your life back in order and MOVE ON!!

For nearly 26 years, the affidavit was sealed in an envelope and stored in a locked box, tucked away with the lawyer’s passport and will. Sometimes he stashed the box in his bedroom closet, other times under his bed.It stayed there — year after year, decade after decade.
Then, about two years ago, Dale Coventry, the box’s owner, got a call from his former colleague, W. Jamie Kunz. Both were once public defenders. They hadn’t talked in a decade.
“We’re both getting on in years,” Kunz said. “We ought to do something with that affidavit to make sure it’s not wasted in case we both leave this good Earth.”
Coventry assured him it was in a safe place. He found it in the fireproof metal box, but didn’t read it. He didn’t need to. He was reminded of the case every time he heard that a wronged prisoner had been freed.
In January, Kunz called again. This time, he had news: A man both lawyers had represented long ago in the murder of two police officers, Andrew Wilson, had died in prison.
Kunz asked Coventry to get the affidavit.
“It’s in a sealed envelope,” Coventry said.
“Open it,” Kunz said, impatiently.
And so, Coventry began reading aloud the five-line declaration the lawyers had written more than a quarter-century before:
An innocent man was behind bars. His name was Alton Logan. He did not kill a security guard in a McDonald’s restaurant in January 1982.
“In fact,” the document said, “another person was responsible.”

Murdered: Charlene Gaither

*Editor’s Note: I mourn the victims…I say victims because the 12 year old involved in this case will be scarred for life! Imagine being forced to witness something so heinous being done to your mother…and additionally having to help ‘dump’ the body? This child will be scarred for life without the proper counseling. Hawkins’ daughter also told investigators that she witnessed her father killing her mother. A police affidavit says the girl, whose name was not released, claimed she “watched dad kill mom.”
Memphis police say Gaither’s body was found decapitated and dismembered in northern Mississippi.
James Hawkins was first charged Monday morning with abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and filing a false report. Later on Monday police said they were charging him with first-degree murder.
The woman was identified Monday as Charlene Gaither of Memphis. Her body, without a head, hands or feet, was found Thursday in DeSoto County.
Police say Hawkins was Gaither’s live-in boyfriend. He denied killing her but said he was present when she died. Police say he admitted to decapitating and dismembering the woman and dumping her body.

Murdered: Shantay LaTrice Wheeler

*Editor’s Note: This happened back in 2001 but it’s still worth posting. I do not in ANY way condone affairs. I have several friends who are married and were cheated on…so I’ve seen what it does to families. However, what I’m finding in these situations is that the ‘man’ usually begins to have second thoughts about what he did once the woman becomes pregnant…and then he chooses to take her life. Again, I know this was several years go but I would like us all to realize that black women ARE indeed murdered during pregnancy. There are have been several articles posted that say that the media loves to put a white face to crimes like this…and I do not wish to take away from any family who has experienced this sort of grief. I just think that it’s high time that we acknowledge that we experience it too! Even though this took place back in 2001, it did not go to trial until 2007.

Tuesday, the trial began for a Fluvanna man charged with killing his pregnant girlfriend in 2001 in Louisa County.
28-year-old Irvin Fountain was in the courtroom Tuesday seemingly calm and expressionless. He’s facing capital murder and firearms charges for the death of 18-year-old Shantay Latrice Wheeler.
Wheeler was eight months pregnant when she didn’t show up for her baby shower. Police found her body in the woods near Boswell’s Tavern in Louisa County five months after her disappearance. At the time of Wheeler’s disappearance in 2001, Fountain was married but he and Wheeler were having an affair.
Five years later, police arrested Fountain for her death. In the opening statements, the prosecutors claim Fountain did not want her to have the baby. The Commonwealth said he had problems supporting kids he already had and told people on several occasions that he wanted Wheeler to have an abortion. Since she wouldn’t, he said he would “fix that”. The defense disputes this statement, saying there’s no real evidence against Fountain.
We do know Wheeler was found with four entry wounds from bullets on her back, jaw, and temple. The prosecution and defense have very different descriptions of how she was shot. The defense claims it was an accident; prosecutors say Fountain shot her on purpose.
The prosecutors said this is classified as a capital murder charge because they say Fountain shot Wheeler with the intent to kill her unborn child. They are not seeking the death penalty.
Pregnant & Murdered: Dawna Wright

A pregnant mother of three was killed at work in Mission Valley yesterday by a man who delivered her roses then shot her, police said.
Dawna Denize Wright, 31, helped manage the office of Dr. Kristi Ann Dove for the past three years.
“Dawna was a compassionate, very capable, intelligent woman, and she was extremely devoted to her three daughters,” said Dove, a neurologist. “This tragic loss will be felt deeply by all of those whose lives Dawna touched.”
Roger McDowell, 34, was booked on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, said San Diego police Lt. Jeff Sferra.
McDowell called police about an hour after the shooting, described himself as her boyfriend and confessed to killing her, authorities said.
Acquaintances described Wright and McDowell has having an “on-again off-again” relationship, Sferra said.
Police said McDowell parked his car in the basement of the Mission View Plaza office building on Camino del Rio South and then went to Dove’s office on the fourth floor shortly before 2 p.m., carrying a dozen red roses.
According to police, as he approached, Wright said, “Are those for me?” He then shot her several times. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:18 p.m., Sferra said.
A man who worked at the office also was hit. Dove said he was a physician and was shot in the hip.
After the shooting, police evacuated about two dozen office workers from the building for about three hours. Police went room to room in the building, searching for the shooter, Sferra said.

Details of Disappearance
Wheeler, a sociology professor at Manhattan’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice and member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., went missing on Christmas Eve.Wheeler was last heard from when he called his girlfriend earlier that evening, prior to a planned Dec. 26 trip to Florida. It may be possible that Mr. Wheeler may have traveled to Texas.
Police later found out that his red 1999 Ford Escort was found abandoned after it hit a guardrail on the Henry Hudson Parkway near 237th St. in the Bronx about 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
An hour later, Wheeler’s debit card was used to withdraw $100 from an ATM at 3940 Broadway in Manhattan. Police suspect it was Wheeler because a “significant amount” of money was left in the account and no more has been withdrawn.
Police and family members are concerned that Wheeler may have purposely stopped taking his medication for bipolar disorder. Fingerprints are available.

Murdered: Chante Wright & Octavia Green

Laquille Bryant has officially been charged with double homicide
*Editor’s Note: Above is a confession from Laquille Bryant. I guess it’s too late to say it but…I wish Ms. Wright would’ve listened and stayed involved in the witness protection program. They truly had it OUT for her. In reading some of the other articles, I also believe that SOMEBODY that she knows may have tipped the murderer off. Had to. If she had been in Jacksonville, Florida for that long and only went back to Philly to visit an ailing relative, how could she have been killed within 7 hours of that if SOMEBODY didn’t tip him/them off? Nonetheless, I was not able to find a picture of Octavia Green, who was also killed in this incident. May they both rest in peace.

A Philadelphia man is behind bars, charged with last month’s murders of two women sitting in a car – one of whom was in the witness protection program.25-year-old Laquille Bryant is the man police now say brutally murdered Chante Wright along with her friend Octavia Green back on January 19th.
“These two women were murdered brutally inside of a vehicle and it appears that they clearly knew their killer,” said Chief Inspector Keith Sadler of the Philadelphia Police Department.
Chante Wright was set to testify in the murder trial of Hakeem Bey, accused of gunning down Moses Williams in 2000. After the other witness in the case, Omar Morris, was gunned down, Chante was placed in the federal witness protection program, relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, her last named changed to Jackson.
She was told to stay away from Philadelphia for her protection, but she took a chance and came back to see her gravely ill grandmother and was murdered less than 7 hours later.
The question is, was Laquille Bryant acting alone or on behalf of someone who ordered the hit?
Unsolved Incident: Remy Okonkwo

*Editor’s Note: Even though I was given information on this story several days ago (and it took me just as long to research it for myself), I was very nervous about posting it. Not because I didn’t want my readers to know about it…not because I didn’t think it DESERVED to be posted. I took a while in posting it because I wanted to take some time to properly piece together my words and make sure that I said what I had to say without offending. This “note” may take a moment, so bear with me. I will be posting several links in reference to this case. Although this has been labeled as suicide, I TRULY believe its more like “homicide.” Covered homicide at that. Here is where I had to find the correct way to word what I wanted to say.
Alright, I use to attend a predominately white (and very prestigious) university where there were all types of fraternities…black, white, hispanic, super smart. You name it…it was there. A lot of my classmates ended up attending this same university and many went on to pledge various fraternal organizations. I remember one night, I was with two of the guys I went to high school with, both white. They were talking about possibly moving into the fraternity house but had some reservations because they had overheard a couple of the ‘frat boys’ speak negatively about blacks…and said that they didn’t really WANT black men in their fraternity but that they were ‘obligated’ so they wouldn’t face any charges of discrimination (which could ultimately lead to suspension on most campuses). The reason they were so against it was because someone we knew (from high school) had also pledged a white fraternity. Because we were all somewhat of a ‘tight knit’ group of people, they felt that if they were disrespecting him (him, being a black man), then the frat disrespected them as well. I remember speaking to several other people about this and many of them echoed the same sentiments…they just kept it on the hush as to not cause confusion or stir up drama.
All of that to say this…I am in NO way implying that ALL fraternities feel the same way as some of the ones on my campus felt. What I AM saying is that if this is the attitude that’s living within ONE isolated area, then it’s definitely possible for those same sentiments to be common in other fraternities all across the United States.
I don’t like unnecessarily pointing fingers. That’s never been my style and I will not bring that sort of thinking to PNE. However, I can’t help but to wonder a few things…
-In THIS article, it is said that there was a “suicidal text message” found in Remy’s cell phone, yet the text mysteriously ‘disappeared’ when asked to bring it in as evidence. It was said that the battery failed, thus causing the message to be lost. Right….
-In THIS article, it was reported that Remy’s mother, Professor Joyce Bell-Murphy, was not immediately notified of his death. She was actually the last person to find out. Why? In this same article, you’ll also find that Mrs. Bell-Murphy states that not ONE SINGLE member of his fraternity called, came by, sent condolences or anything of the like. Sort of strange coming from those who claim to be his “brothers.”
-In THIS MINI article, the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta held an open discussion to ask WHAT HAPPENED to REMY OKONKWO. If he REALLY committed suicide as reports have stated, why the need for discussion? This isn’t my way of talking against what they did…just raising the point that I’m obviously NOT the only one that finds this story to be a bit strange.
-In THIS article, executive director John Johnson of the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights is even calling it a possible hate crime. Hmmm….
-And in THIS article, investigators are even saying that Remy’s hands were found tied. Does anybody know how it is that you first bind your own hands…and then use a rope to hang yourself? Doesn’t make sense.
Nonetheless, I don’t believe for ONE second that Remy Okonkwo killed himself. I think that members of that fraternity in conjunction with local police officials are covering something up. Hopefully one day, their dirty little secret will be revealed. Oops, without pointing any fingers!

Stephen Nelson literally threw his son over a bridge, then blamed the demons? Kinda sounds like Johnson and Banita Jacks were reading from the same page of the same book. Find another clue…if you’re a horrible, sadistic, loser of a parent, stop finding blame in everybody else but YOU! At the end of the day, the “demons” may have won but you’re still a KILLER!

A Baltimore man hospitalized after a suicide attempt is likely to be charged with killing his 3-year-old son by throwing him off a bridge, a report said.
Turner Jordan Nelson was still missing Wednesday after an intensive search of the Patapsco River. His grandmother made several calls to 911 Sunday night to say that she believed his father, Stephen Nelson, had thrown him from the Francis Scott Key Bridge, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Nelson remained hospitalized and unconscious. He drank household chemicals Sunday night, officials said.
Natisha Johnson, Turner’s mother, described Nelson as a good family man and said she could not imagine him harming his son. But she said that he threatened to throw the boy into the river when he picked him up on Sunday.
I’m still hoping for the best, still praying that this is a nightmare and that he did not do what he actually said he did and that he just took my son somewhere else, Johnson said.
Johnson and Turner had been involved in a lengthy court fight over custody.

*Editor’s Note: I’m starting to feel that my site is “exploiting” black on black crime. It’s a SAD SHAME that the vast majority of the stories that I’m posting involve one black person killing another black person. Absolutely senseless! But I digress…I’ve said it before…a lot of things will be repeated. But I will NEVER understand how anyone could physically abuse, let alone KILL a child in cold blood. I guess one should never question a man who would so willingly take out his own mother. Unfortunately, I was not able to find a picture of the other young man who was killed, 16 year old Rodney Anderson. May they ALL rest in peace!

A man was arrested Sunday after his mother and two boys were fatally stabbed on Indianapolis’ northeast side, WRTV-TV in Indianapolis reported.Indianapolis Metro police said Sean V. Wright, 35, killed his mother and two of her foster children — a 16-year-old and a 10-year-old boy — leaving a grisly scene behind.
Police said they were called to a home just after 1 a.m.
Police said that when officers arrived, they found Rodney Anderson, 16, lying on the front porch. He had been stabbed repeatedly.
Anderson was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
Officers said they saw a blood trail going across the road to the back of another home across the street.
Police went inside, where they found Demonte Norton, 10, and Flossie Wright, 60, both of whom had also been fatally stabbed, officials said. They were pronounced dead at the scene.Officers said the home had been ransacked as the victims tried to fight off their killer.
“The 16-year-old was fighting for his life. He was able to get out of the house and run across the street,” said IMPD Lt. Jeffrey Duhamell. “They know the neighbors … and pounded on the door for help.”

*Editor’s Note: This is CRAZY in more ways than one! First and foremost, I’m upset that this happened two years ago and I hadn’t heard anything about it. Maybe I was under a rock during this time but this is utter ridiculousness. She killed a mother, her three children AND her unborn child? It doesn’t get much more sadistic than that. A woman accused of killing a pregnant woman and her fetus told police she drowned the woman’s three young children and stuffed them into a washer and dryer at their apartment, an official said Sunday.Preliminary autopsies on the dead children Sunday appear to show they were drowned, Ace Hart, a deputy St. Clair County coroner, told The Associated Press.
As of Sunday, Tiffany Hall, 24, had not been charged in the children’s deaths, but prosecutors on Saturday accused Hall of killing their mother, Jimella Tunstall, 23, and her fetus. The fetus had been cut from her womb, authorities said.
According to Sunday’s autopsies, there were no signs of physical abuse or trauma on the children — ages 7, 2, and 1 — and toxicology tests were pending “to see if they were poisoned or possibly drugged,” Hart said.
“They were not drowned there in the wash machine,” Hart stressed.
An autopsy showed that Jimella Tunstall bled to death after sustaining an abdominal wound caused by a sharp object, believed to be scissors, Hart has said. Authorities believe her womb was cut open after she was knocked unconscious.
Relatives say Tunstall grew up with Hall and had let her baby-sit her children. Hall has two children of her own. Illinois State Police Capt. Craig Koehler said they are “safe and sound.”

*Editor’s Note: I am in NO way trying to make fun of or talk down to folks who live in Chicago but is crime REALLY this serious there? I know that I’ve posted at LEAST 3 stories from Chicago alone..and as soon as I post ONE story, it links me to another! What’s being done in Chicago to try and curb some of this violence? I went to visit a friend in Chicago in 2006. I remember him telling me that I couldn’t wear my hat a certain way because if I DID, it was inviting trouble. I was scared to leave the house. Nonetheless, I wish that some of these people who had such anger and aggression found other ways of expressing it. I can’t imagine someone barely striking me with a baseball bat, let alone beating me profusely with one. May he RIP.

The party in an Englewood home was supposed to be a haven for young teens Saturday night, a chance for them to drink Kool-Aid and dance to their favorite songs, free from the fear of violence that often stalks the streets outside.But violence found a way in. At about 10:30 p.m., a scuffle broke out in the basement between two of the guests, and the fight ignited a chain of events that led to the death of Albert Vaughn, an 18-year-old man who was fatally struck in the head with a baseball bat as he tried to help the party chaperons usher the kids home.

Unsolved Incident: Mario Williams

*Editor’s Note: I was sent this article via email and of course wanted to post it to see if anyone knew anything. You may want to first read THIS ARTICLE, as it details more of the events leading up to Mr. Williams death. I just hope that someone knows something. If you read the article below, you’ll notice that his friends brought his jacket, cell and charger to his parents house. My question is…who leaves behind ALL of that? It’s only in rare instances that I leave my cell phone at home. Hopefully the city of Canton is putting some effort into solving this mystery. In the meantime, he’s leaving behind a son. For much of the last six weeks, the family of Mario A. Williams hoped against hope that the 21-year-old Canton man still was alive after disappearing in late February. He was last seen at the Metropolis nightclub in Cleveland on Feb. 23, attending a rap concert.
The family’s hopes were dashed today. His body was found floating in Lake Erie near Edgewater Park in Cleveland before 11 a.m., said Cleveland police spokesman Lt. Thomas Stacho.
Williams’ body was badly decomposed, but police found an ID on him. Stacho said he did not have details on the circumstances under which Williams was found. It’s not clear how long the body had been in the water, nor how long Williams had been dead.
Stacho said leads uncovered by police before the body was discovered indicated some type of foul play. A photo in Williams’ cell phone that apparently showed him tied up appeared suspicious. Williams’ acquaintances, who accompanied the Canton man to a rap concert, brought the family his cell phone, charger and jacket. The family said the acquaintances claimed Williams, whom they say they last saw in the club, had left the items in one of their cars.
“We were leaning toward this probably not being a voluntary disappearance,” Stacho said. He declined to say what other leads police had.
The police spokesman said it was too early to say whether a criminal act had occurred.
A police report also indicated that Williams was involved in a fight inside the club, while a shooting took place outside the club the night he went missing. It’s not clear if there’s a connection between the shooting and Williams.
A family member identified the body within a few hours, said Cuyahoga County coroner’s office spokesman Powell Caesar. An autopsy will take place Monday in an effort to establish the cause of death.
Williams, of the 1400 block of Miami Court NE, leaves behind a 1-year-old son, Mario Jr.
